We will also do a Toronto launch for this CD release just before. Stay tuned.

We'll be playing a set with Strange As Angels on December 22. We'll be playing some of the new songs from Cruelest Intentions.

The CD is almost done. Mixing has been nearly completed and remixes are starting to come in. The album is slated for release late March 2007. We will do a mini tour to launch the CD in Toronto and Montreal. Come on out!
August 20
T-shirts sold out! We'll have another design to go with the release of Cruelest Intentions due out in the spring. I know it's a while to wait but it'll be worth it.

It's been far too long since we updated. I can only say that my
life progresses in strange ways and Scrape has taken on a backburner
role recently. We're trying to get it together and come out with
new kick ass music. We've been asked to re-release some of our
older material and also to play shows. Those things may kick start
a revolution. Be prepared when it happens. I have put some songs
from our 2000 release, Consciousness Razing in the Sounds
page. Enjoy!

I apologize for not posting here sooner.
Scrape has been inactive as of late. We moved to Toronto and have
not worked on any new material from that time. Expect this to
change as we are getting ready for a new assault on your senses.
We have received an artist rendition of us on stage that I thought
I would share :) Click here
Enjoy!

I am thinking of putting full demos in our sounds page as my space
has been upgraded and I can handle larger files. I would like
feedback as to what people are wanting to see and hear. Send me
an email and I'll put some things up.

The move in August was taxing but we finally got the studio up
and running. Our first song will be featured on a short film titled
'Iosis'.
If you get a chance to see this be sure to catch yours truly in
a role [guess which one ;)]. We'll start working on new material
once we are fully geared up, so expect new songs soon!

We have some exciting compilation news! So far we know that we
will be on 2 compilations [with a third that has confirmed but
we don't have all the info yet--keeping checking here for more
news]. Greisen Crew Records have chosen Faithless
[madness] from the Coldest of Snows CD and a radio
show from Tampa, Florida called Dark Horizons has picked Revenge
for their double cd. For more info, check the releases
page under compilations.

Been a while folks since we updated. We are still alive and kicking!
In fact we are going to be on at least 2 compilations in the very
near future [and are looking at another 2 comps]. So things are
looking up for this year. We keep running out of copies of Screaming
In The Void as people keep ordering them but we'll have
more soon!
We are alos
going to start writing new music. We have new equipment in order
to work on the evolution of our sound. We are not sure what will
happen but rest assured it will be harsh!
In other news,
we are planning on moving from Montreal at the end of summer.
We are looking to play a final show [since we have been told that
we cannot leave without doing so], and have talked to another
local band about playing towards the end of June. For those living
in the Montreal area, this will be your last time to see us live
so make sure to come out. We'll post more news here as we get
it.
We also added
a few links in the links page so be sure
to check it out.

Happy New Year!
Sorry for the lack of updates folks, we have been gearing up the
studio and moving things around [trying out new software and starting
to move in new directions]. We do have bit of news for those living
in the Montreal area:
the Nu-Art
Café [3780 Wellington Street] is displaying an exposition
of photographs by Michel Poulin de Courval of Athanore.com.
A Scrape photo is displayed on the walls there along with approximately
15 other photos in his unique visual style. Come check it out
and have a coffee.

First off, we have started to mail the packages to labels of our
latest CD-r. Hopefully you all will be hearing the sounds of Scrape

In other news,
we were interviewed and photographed for a video documentary that
will be released sometime in early 2004. The working title of
this is Deus Ex Machinae. More information here.

Our show was a great success! All three bands played very well
and we had a great crowd. I have posted photos on the Images
page for you to check out and have also worked on this page to
improve it's look and also to delete older images.
The show was
recorded in both audio and video which may see the light of day.
I'll keep you posted
So now Scrape
will be contacting labels to find a home that can help us to reach
more people.
As for the
contest. It's over now and we have a few winners. They will be
getting their cd's in the post very soon.

Added a few photos in the images section
that were taken by Michel Poulin. check them out! We also received
the video for 'Follow Me Into Hell' and it is amazing. Thanks
to Francis T. for working so hard on it! It will be available
on the new cd so we'll inform you when it is ready. We are going
to have a contest with the prize being a free copy of the new
CD mailed anywhere in the world to the first 5 emails I get with
the correct answer to this question:
What
is the name of the side project of Scrape? This would be a project
that is just Erik Scrape with no other members. There is only
one such project
[hint-look
at the releases page and then check each release to find the answer].
There have been collaborations but only one official side project.
email me with the
answer. Good luck!
Contest closes October 31, 2003.

Mastering is almost complete for 'Screaming in the void'. Man
what a ride it has been. Trying to get remixes that have different
tonal qualities than the other songs we did for the CD work together
is no small task. We are in the last stages now and may I be the
first one to say that this release and the mixing style is different
than most others I have seen. I am a fan of weird frequencies
and I just love bass! I want to personally thank all those that
have helped us through this release:
All the bands
that remixed us! Putrefy Factor 7, Metha Mean, Cant Planet, Controlled
Collapse, and T. DEEH Obstreperus.
Francis Théberge
for creating an excellent video for us of Follow me into hell.
I hope it did not take you through too much hell yourself ;)
Michel Poulin
for great photos [I just love all your metal toys we had to play
with during the photo session].
Marc Bertola
for the killer guitar parts. Fire just would not be the same without
you.
Olivia Li
for making my manskirt. At least now I better look the part.
All the people
who have photographed or videotaped us recently: Gilles, Rev Soul,
Tïami, Vincent, Stef, Leif
So now all
you who read this, get the CD!

We have confirmed the 10 year anniversary
show for October 25 at Café Chaos. Opening will be Freakency
and Stryxvirii. Come check it out. We'll have draws for cd's and
other merchandise.
The mixing
of the new album is progressing well. We have finished several
songs and still have a few more to complete. This is going to
be our most varied cd yet as every song is different. Soon I will
post mp3 clips for you to download. Keep an eye on the sounds
page.

We just received word that the Putrefy
Factor 7 remix of Fire has been completed! I have heard it
and it is very well done! It will be released on the new CD and
we may make a small excerpt of it in the sounds
page so check it often.
We
also added a few tape compilations on the releases
page. One is an old comp from 1996 and the other will be released
soon. More info as it becomes available.

Great news! We have received 2
remixes so far [for Follow Me Into Hell and Memories of a Distant
Past] and 3 more on the way [including a remix of Fire by Putrefy
Factor 7]. We are also almost finished writing the new songs
for 'Screaming in the Void'. Expect the harsh elements that were
present on 'Coldest of Snows' but with an emphasis on even darker
textures. We are also going to have a video for Follow Me Into
Hell done by Francist of This
is Not Design. We'll have giveaways at our 10 year anniversary
show at Café Chaos this October 25 of this video as well
as of CD's [the new CD may be ready by this time in cd-r format].
We will have Freakency
and Stryxvirii
open for us on this evening so this will be a show not to miss.
It will also be the last time that people will be able to see
us live for a while as we will concentrate on the release of the
new CD and try to get better distribution.
We
will try to keep you better updated. Soon we'll have mp3's of
the new songs. Check the Sounds page
often.
I
just added 5 new photos taken during the Varia 2003 mini tour.
Thanks to Taïmi and Gilles for grabbing some stills!

Scrape have been busy working on new songs
for the upcoming album 'Screaming in the Void'. So far we have
2 songs ready to go and 4 more well on their way. We have also
received a remix of Memories of a Distant Past from a Polish artist
named Kr-lik. We have also sent songs to Putrefy Factor 7 and
Metha Mean for remixing. The new album should be ready in autumn
of this year. One of the songs 'Fire! s.h.c.' will also be released
on the upcoming Varia 2003 compilation. More info here.
If you are interested in Varia send me an email.
In
addition, Scrape will have a video produced very soon. secret,
secret! I'll have more info when I get it.
January

Happy New Year! The last year was quite
a ride for us. We participated in 3 compilations and really spread
the word with the latest CD Coldest Of Snows. So now on to bigger
things!
Scrape
will participate in the Varia
2003 compilation this year with a revamped version of Fire
called Fire! [spontaneous human combustion]. The original version
of Fire can be found on the Corrupt.Condemn.Crush CD. Scrape is
also in talks now with another compilation to provide a track
this summer. More details as they arrive.
We
are also working on new material with a few collaborators! Marc
Bertola [who did the killer guitar on Fire!] has started working
with us and we may also have another guitarist on a track or two.
The sound is also changing slightly to more powerful and distorted
rhythms. Expect the harshness that has always been there coupled
with even more insanity than ever before. The tentative title
is Screaming In The Void. We will work hard to get these CD's
pressed this time but this will push the release date back a bit.
When it's ready, I will put the news up.
If
you want to see old news, send me an email
