COLLECTION OF SINS Info Credits: All tracks by Erik Scrape with assistance on tracks 2, 6, 12 by 1-K and 8, 12 by Paul Jaworski Thanks to: Allison, Gaetan, Raf, 1-K, Paul, Dann, and the Fans Collection of Sins is just that, a collection of various works spanning the years 1995-2000. It is a very eclectic album in the fact that the songs are all very different but I included them because each told the same story of what Scrape has done. Many side project and collaboration songs were also included to release songs that may have never been released otherwise. These songs deserved a chance to see the light of day in my opinion. Here is a breakdown of the songs: Intro, and Lust Machine were live songs recorded August 1996 at a rehearsal show in front of friends just before the last show we played in Sudbury, Ontario. we did this a few times to work out the last few wrinkles and also to help 1-K with a slight case of stagefright. Kill, Under the Skin, Fuck Off, and Strapped Down and Screaming were from a side project I did in early 1997 called Dementia Praecox. This sounds a bit like old Scrape but the voice was pitched down. Desolation, and Contaminant were from a collaboration with Paul Jaworski called Remorse. An entire demo was produced but never released. These two songs were what I feel are the best from that collaboration. Stifle (remix) was a remix of a Scrape song from the 'Chaos of Life' cassette, done by Devil Smut. This sounds nothing like the original but has a character of its own that I felt should be on a cd (it is on the cassette version of 'Corrupt.Condemn.Crush'). The rest of the songs are various Scrape songs covering all areas from fast bpm techno to all out noise. A special feature of this cd is a multimedia presentation for Scrape as well as Demenita Praecox, and even a video clip from a show in 1995! These are self executing data files that can be read on most PC's (I tested it on a Pentium 1/133 Mhz).
